3.  Health

Aging

What causes mental deterioration?

Our mind knows and will tell you when you become developed enough to accept the answer. Clue: You have to reach a point where you really don’t care to know.

How to avoid the mental pitfalls of the elderly

The fear of learning.

This is one of the real killers. The saying, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks," really has meaning. It's not that they can't learn, it's that they don't want to learn. As people get older they don't want to learn anything that will show that they lived their "whole" life as an idiot. If they have any significant revelation, that is what will happen. They will see how dumb they were and that they made some really stupid decisions because they simply didn't know some "simple" truth. To avoid this, they simply refuse to "learn new tricks."

Boredom

As we improve our awareness and health we reduce the amount of physical degeneration of our minds that comes with aging. To avoid mental deterioration we simply have to use our minds. There are many way to keep our minds active. Do things that require thinking, creativity, analysis, etc. It is simpler to point out a few of the things to avoid. Nostalgia is a real killer. Don't spend much time thinking about the past, and reliving old times with friends. Old movies, old music, old places from our childhood can give us great feelings, but that's what happens to most people as they grow older. Obviously, it leads into senility.

Avoid becoming set in your ways. Don't let yourself feel that you know all there is to know about a particular subject or idea or way to do something. There is always a better way to do everything; all it takes is deep enough thought coupled with enough knowledge.

In order to open mental doors, we have to accept the FACT that we don't know it all. In truth, we have barely scratched the surface. The dumber you admit to being, the closer you are to becoming intelligent, and a mind that is developing intelligence will stay young and active. "Use it or lose it," really means something. If you only use your mind to recall what you "think" you have already learned, you are not really using your mind. You are only recalling memories, something a senile person becomes adept at doing.

Always lean toward variety. Sleep on the opposite side of the bed. Try foods you have never eaten. Ride a roller coaster. Do something that you consider daring. If you presently listen to music, avoid it for a while. If you have any bad habits, pick one and break it. If you smoke, you will soon quit, whether you want to or not. If you drink to excess, wonder why, and also wonder what good it does you.

Maintain an active sex life. Besides being good exercise, sexual activity does wonders for the body. Mental sexual fantasizing can also be beneficial if not done to excess and if most of it is about present and future activities. Fantasizing about the past is too nostalgic and not constructive.

Remember, it is never too late to get better and better every day and in every way.

Avoiding slow speech & movements

These sound like they would be listed as separate categories, but they are practically the same. They are both mainly caused by our thought processes slowing. This almost takes care of itself by keeping your mind active.

Speech

A small reason why our speech slows down is because we become more careful about what we say, and how we say it.

Practice speaking to yourself into a mirror as fast as you can without stuttering or using any filler sounds or words. Another good method of practice is to talk to yourself. Speak clearly, as if speaking to a group. (See; Improving voice and speaking ability).

Physical movement

Some become overly cautious because they are losing confidence in their physical ability. They don't run and jump, anymore. They don't want to fall and break a hip. It's understandable. But you will find that as your awareness increases, so does your physical condition, which increases your confidence in your physical ability. As your conditioning improves, you will find yourself taking longer, faster strides; climbing steps quicker; not hesitating to park farther from the store entrance because you know the walk will do you good, etc.

This is very important: Don't make the sounds of the elderly when you rise from a chair or do something that requires extra physical effort. And don't forget to stretch and massage.

Healing

Healing oneself

The first step toward learning how to heal yourself is to learn how your body is trying to communicate with you. When you learn to listen to your body, it will tell you exactly what it needs at any given time to help keep you healthy and fight off any invading germ or to repair any degenerative condition in your body. To begin learning, stock up with foods that are known to be healthy. Patiently allow your body to tell you what it wants you to try. Smell it, touch it, taste it. Give your body time to analyze it. What's good for you will be assigned a good taste. The frequency that your body needs this item will be indicated by an urge. Here is where you begin weeding out your past urges for junk food. The exact process varies depending on how many bugs you have in your taste bud program. You will easily begin seeing how it works. Obvious things, such as, candy tasting better than spinach, or not, will point you in the right direction.

Healing Others

Until you learn to heal yourself you will have very little effect on others. If you are looking for a magical way to heal others, forget it. There is no such thing. Healing is done from within. When you learn how to communicate with your own body you will begin feeling what another person's body is trying to tell them. Initially you can help others by feeling what their body needs and physically bringing things to them.

The next step is feeling what their body needs in the form of physical manipulation (positioning, massaging, exercising, resting, etc).

The next step is actually sharing and adding energy to them, individually and in groups. We won't talk about that here because it is a pitfall for those that are looking for the easiest way of doing things. They are the ones that use prayers as a substitute for actually doing something. The lazy always fall into that trap. They are the type that want someone else to heal them rather than doing any work to learn how to heal themselves. Is it any wonder that religious people have as many diseases and live no longer than others? If you remove life style dangers and effects, religious people actually have more diseases and die sooner than others. But that can be rather argumentative, depending on the "truth" you want to believe.

(This is true AND false.)

The key to healing others begins with wanting to heal them anonymously and getting no credit for doing it. It takes pureness of motives. You will be shown how to do it when you reach a plateau of purer thought. The details, you will learn for yourself.

Understanding fevers and other bodily signals

Fevers are a situation created by the body to slow down a germs' reproduction rate. Fighting a fever is actually helping a germ hurt you more. Chills are the body’s way of telling you to hold in heat so the body can use its energy to fight the germ and spend less energy to increase the body’s temperature. When you feel hot, your body is telling you to cool down while it prepares for another cycle. It uses this period of time to evaluate the results of its efforts and to plan the next strategy against the invader. Thirst tells you to drink because the body needs plenty of water during disease fighting sessions. A loss of appetite is the body’s way of telling you that it doesn’t want any food during this time. When it needs a particular nourishment, it will give you a craving for a particular food. Only eat what you have a serious craving for, and only eat small amounts at a time to give your body a chance to tell you when it has had enough. It doesn’t want to be burdened with having to process more food than it needs.

There are many other subtle signals your body gives you to point out areas that need simple attention and maintenance. Every little twitch, tingle, jerk, and itch means something, especially to those that know how to communicate with their body. One of the most important things our body needs is external massage. Another is stretching. Another is moving joints in ways to keep them in good shape. Your body needs very little strenuous exertion to maintain good health.

Your body will tell you exactly what it needs if you pay attention.

Using your sinuses' early warning signals

Your sinuses main function is to capture and identify invading organisms. As your awareness improves you will begin to notice how your sinuses work. It is obvious that if some larger, irritable object is breathed in, your body will reject it by sneezing. Your mind uses the same signal after your sinuses captures an organism that it deems harmful. It will make your nose itch and you will sneeze. The number of sneezes and severity tells you how serious the organism is. It will also instruct your immune system to begin producing antibodies. With heightened awareness, you will begin having urges to do certain things and cravings for certain foods, vitamins, etc. These things that you do will help head off actually catching a disease. This sensitivity will keep you free of disease for your entire life. The reason some people die from some viruses is because their immune system is weak or they aren't developed to the level to stop an invasion before it gets a good foothold.

Things like the West Nile Virus are totally harmless if caught in time.

Allergies

What are allergies?

An allergy is when your body reacts unfavorably to a foreign substance. The question you have to ask is "Why are some people allergic to some things, but most people aren't?" An allergic reaction is when a person's body reacts incorrectly to a substance. It is a sign of an uneducated or mentally deficient immune system.

An immune system initially resists almost anything foreign because it is uneducated beyond its basic genetic coding. It has to learn what is okay and what is not. The part of the mind that controls the immune system is not born smart, just as the rest of ones mind isn't born already crammed full of knowledge. It has to be educated just like our taste buds.

You will notice that people with allergies were raised by or have been influenced by people with allergies. Their minds have been falsely educated.

Overcoming Allergies

Accept the fact that allergies are psychosomatic. Just knowing that they are mentally created is the biggest step in fixing the problem.

The reaction we get from mosquitoes, bees, wasps, poison plants (ivy, oak, sumac, etc. ), only have to happen once if a person instructs their immune system not to respond to that particular substance in the future.

Seems like a simplistic cure, doesn't it? That's how simple it is if you have a good working relationship with your mind. If you don't have one, then begin having one. Start talking to it. It works.

As an example, when I was nine, my Aunt and Uncle took me on a deep sea fishing trip on a boat with about twenty people. I got deathly seasick. It was the realization that nobody else got sick that helped me overcome. I became extremely angry at myself. For some unknown reason, I wasn't as good as them. That was totally unacceptable.

I now know that it was because of my Aunt's daughter, a hypochondriac, that had suggested that I would get car sick on the way to Florida (which I did) and that I would surely get seasick (which I did, thanks to her ignorance), that influenced me into getting sick. I had foolishly believed her. That night I vowed to never get seasick or car sick again. I never did. I later joined the Navy and would have stayed 20 years if I could have spent it on a ship (but that's another story).

The bottom line is that I cured all motion sickness simply by vowing to not let it happen again. All I had to know was that it didn't happen to everybody. What really made me mad was that it seemed to happen only to sissies—big, manly looking ones, as well as the frail, weak looking ones. That connotation is still the truth.

Pain

Understanding Pain

The first thing to realize about pain is that all pain is good. It is how our mind helps our body communicate with us. As you increase your communicative skills with your body, all pain will diminish to the point of existing only as an awareness. What used to be a horrible pain will become a mere twitch or tingle to get your attention.

Controlling and reducing pain to a tolerable level

Did you ever wonder why some people don’t mind pain as much? Did you ever hear the saying, "Nobody can feel someone else’s pain? That is exactly what it’s all about. Pain is a relative feeling. What is painful to one person may actually feel enjoyable to another.

The first thing a person has to realize about pain is that it doesn’t exist. A part of our body sends a signal to our mind about a condition in the area. Our mind communicates the information to us in various ways. Obviously, it doesn’t speak to us in words (which it can do if you are both trained) so it uses feelings of various types. These feelings aren’t real, they are generated by the mind.

Using pain rather than suffering from it

Remember, pain is what your body has to use to get your attention whenever you either won’t listen to it, or you don’t know how to listen. This will be understood as you progress.

Eliminating all Headaches

There are no pain sensors in the brain. That is factual medical knowledge. Just knowing that should tell you that all headaches are psychosomatic. The pain you feel in your head is your mind trying to tell you something and since it isn’t developed enough to use evolved means, it resorts to giving you a feeling of pain. It's like a person trying to discipline an animal with force. They use pain to get its attention and to punish. It is fairly effective, but there is a better way.

Psychoanalysis

How to tell a person’s psychological makeup in just a few moments

Do they laugh after they say something?
Do they laugh when others speak even though nothing really funny was said?
Are they phony when dealing with others?
Are they worried about what others think?
Do they talk baby talk to kids, to you, or when they are on the phone.
Are they quicker to blame others rather than shouldering the blame themselves.

A weatherman on the news just said, "Rain-slicked roads are causing accidents in the Metro area." That’s the typical mentality of the stupid, by the stupid, for the stupid. Inattentive or incompetent drivers cause the accidents, not the rain! This is really a small example of most people's tendency to blame others or things for their shortcomings. It makes them feel good, as in Ignorance is Bliss.

How different a person is in private.
How different a person is when drunk or loaded.
Do they tell lies when the truth would work just as well?
Do they have an answer for everything?

Remember, stupid people rarely admit that they don’t know what they are talking about because they don't know whether you know that they don't know. See how that works? I could easily be considered to be stupid, especially by those that are smarter and those that are dumber. Who would know if they are right?

Do they always know what’s best for others?

Only one that is pure of thought can tell you what is best for you. Most people can only tell you what they think might work for them if they were to be able to imagine being in your shoes.

Telepathic Physical Diagnosis of Another

Seeing into a person’s body to see past injuries and present health problems

We all have this ability. It is the result of a telepathic communication between you and the person, especially when they are unconscious. It can be a feeling in your own body or a visual image in your mind. This ability will develop naturally as you develop other basic abilities. It may happen unexpectedly as you learn how to communicate with your own body.

Diet

When your mind and body begin working together to use food for positive results, your diet will take care of itself. Remember one thing: We, as humans, have similar needs in material to build and maintain our bodies, but we do have some genetic differences that will make our optimum diet have distinct differences from others. That is the biggest reason that many of these studies contradict each other. Most of them are relatively useless when applied to the masses.

Weight Control - Hunger

Why we get hungry

I don't; you might. Noticing people that are more compulsively driven by hunger emotions than you are, and being glad that you aren't that bad, is the first step in understanding this emotion. Remember, hunger is strictly an animal emotion. It is a feeling designed to encourage you to get food. If you are undeveloped, cookies and ice cream might be what you crave. As your mind develops, you will no longer be annoyed by the baser feeling of hunger. It will be replaced by a taste for specific foods that your body has previously analyzed and knows that these food items contain minerals, vitamins, and other materials that it needs.

Educating the taste buds

Just accept the fact that a developing mind will make healthy food taste better, and unhealthy food undesirable. It's really as simple as that. You will notice that if you really want to develop your taste buds, you will begin trying healthy foods that you used to dislike, with the goal of learning why it tastes so good to others.

Begin being more aware of what others are eating and what they look like and how they move. Are they meat and potato people, fast food junkies, etc. Are they overweight? Do they hate broccoli, spinach, Brussels sprouts, etc. Are they lean and mean, fast and quick, alert, etc.?

Remember: It's not what you are, it's what you want to be.

How to use hunger to master weight control

Before you react to your hunger, ask yourself what your body is really trying to tell you. Does it want some junk that will distort it (generally, something that will make it fat and ugly), or is it crying out for something that will help make it more healthy (and beautiful)?

Exercise

How much is enough?

Have you ever seen a cat doing push ups or deep knee bends? They know how to properly exercise. They just don't do it. They use a few stretches and isometric movements and a few moments a day of physical "play" to get all of the exercise they need.

We can stay extremely fit by doing it in a like fashion. We can stretch and tighten our muscles without going through some silly exercise routine. When your mind and body begin working together, you will find yourself stretching, massaging, pacing, raising up on your toes, taking some deep breaths, turning and twisting your neck, flexing your fingers, etc. This will all come naturally to you as you develop.
